In 2001, Mulligan hired Stephen Chimento as the Director of Fire and Life Safety. Stephen is a Retired
Captain from the FDNY with over 32 years of experience in
fire and life safety. His expertise has further enhanced our
ability to focus on providing our employees with the most
up-to-date curriculum on the New York City’s Fire Safety
codes and variances.
He has developed training videos for tenants
including Price Waterhouse Cooper, CIBC, Cleary Gotlieb and
WTC Foundation Fund. Stephen has also been instrumental to
Mulligan in developing Fire Safety Power-Point presentations
which are site specific to educate all Mulligan’s Fire
Guards, Fire Safety Directors, Building Evacuation
Supervisors and Fire Wardens.
Mulligan Security is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Carl Jost Jr. as our new Fire and Life Safety Coordinator. Carl retired from the NY City Fire Department after 29 years of service with the rank of Battalion Chief. Carl served as the Battalion Commander for the FDNY’s 6th Battalion which is located in the Union Square district of Manhattan. Carl was also an instructor and training coordinator for the FDNY’s Division of Training.
Carl’s leadership and experience will help to raise Mulligan Security’s training program for all our fire and life safety personnel. Carl ‘s training experience will help Mulligan to establish an in house training program to ensure our personnel are fully prepared to pass all exams and be ready to handle all fire and emergency situations at their work location. Carl’s fire experience and knowledge of the new fire safety laws that have gone into effect since 9/11, (such as local Law 26), will ensure that Mulligan Security remains on top when it comes to the best trained and most prepared fire and life safety personnel in the field.
Mulligan Security mandates that every security officer must be site certified as a "Fire Guard for Office Buildings (F-91)" by the New York City Fire Department (FDNY).
