The Mulligan
Security Corporation (“Mulligan”) was founded in New York
City in 1992, by William P. Mulligan, President, and Kevin
Mulligan, Executive Vice-President. The Mulligan’s founded
their firm with the following in mind; to obtain a valued
client base in New York City, and provide them with the
finest security supervisors and security force in the
industry.
The Mulligan’s studied the New York City security industry
and decided that several key elements were missing, that
could improve the quality of security that was currently
being provided to the corporate high-rise and commercial
office building real estate industry. One of the problems
that they uncovered was the fact that the majority of the
security companies operating in New York City, offered low
wages, and no true benefits, such as health insurance and
retirement plans to their employees. This problem was
perceived to be a deterrent in not being able to attract
the most qualified security professionals as well as not
being able to retain the best security force possible for
Mulligan prospective clients.
Another discovery the Mulligan’s made was the fact that
inadequate security may result in a greater expense, due
to loss or damage, than the additional cost of a high
level professional staff. There is nothing worse than
having a false sense of security, and the Mulligan’s were
determined they would not allow this dangerous
misconception to be a part of their corporation. Therefore
they set out to hire, train and supervise what they
believe to be the finest private security staff available
in New York City.
After further review the Mulligan’s saw an additional need
which was to implement a Fire Safety Director program
within their corporation. Since that time Mulligan has
implement 24/7 coverage of Fire Safety Directors in 80% of
their sites.
Mulligan takes pride in providing a level of service and
dedication that is a reflection of their hiring standards
and their hands on approach with their employees and their
clients. The combination of those factors mixed in with
their supervisory structure place Mulligan at the top of
the security industry.
For the past 18 years Mulligan has gained the
reputation of having the finest private security

potential clients has allowed the corporation
to grow while still being able to provide the
same high level of security. Today Mulligan
has a permanent work force of over 800 highly
trained security officers and off duty local
law enforcement personnel.
